About Me

Andy has been a commercial mediator since 2007, mediating in general commercial, agency, property, probate and public sector disputes. He has spoken widely to international delegations from across the world on the subject of mediation and advised on marketing mediation for the IFC to various institutions in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Andy is a Director of the Civil Mediation Council and Co-Chairs its Standards and Registration Committee. 

Prior to joining CEDR in 2005, Andy was a Senior Communications Account Director in two leading public relations consultancies, where he headed business units, advising private corporations and government bodies on managing their reputations. In this time he led numerous strategic campaigns for clients such as 3i  plc, 3M plc, BEIS (the Department for Trade and Industry), BTG plc, the Consumers' Association (Which?), Fujitsu plc, Motorola plc and RS Components and Electrocomponents plc. He has worked on and led projects in Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain, the UK and the USA.

Andy is a member of the prestigious CEDR Mediator Panel and a member of the CEDR Mediation Skills Training Faculty. Andy has represented CEDR on the Board of the Civil Mediation Council (CMC) as Trustee and Director since 2011. The CMC is the recognised authority in the jurisdiction of England & Wales for all matters related to civil, commercial and workplace mediation. He Co-Chairs the CMC's Standards and Registration Committee.


- Communications experience includes a number of industry sectors, including legal, technology and travel, and covers both agency and in-house environments. 

- Mediation experience is in contract, agency, employment, property and probate disputes, with cases ranging from disputes between private individual parties through to large multinational organisations.
